The Law and Literature in Diaspora Studies conference was held at Villa Vigoni as part part of the series "Villa Vigoni - Gespräche in den Geistes- und Sozialwissenschaften." The event was co-ordinated by Prof. Daniela Carpi (Verona) and Prof. Dr. Klaus Stierstorfer (Münster) and funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). Amongst others, the conference featured papers by scholars within the CoHaB network.

CoHaB Post-doctoral fellow Dr Lynda Ng has been one of the delegates to the 2nd China Australia Literary Forum, held in Beijing. This was a high profile cultural diplomacy event, billed as the meeting of two Nobel laureates (J.M. Coetzee from the Australian side, and Mo Yan from the Chinese side).

Elleke Boehmer, Professor of World Literature in English at Wolfson College and CoHaB Director at Oxford, Faculty of English, has been awarded a Leverhulme International Network Grant. The network, Planned Violence: Post/colonial Urban Infrastructures and Literature, will be funded from 2014-2016.
